Came upon this scene while walking beside a local stream. The leaf was precariously stuck on a rock as the water rushed by. I got one shot off before it became dislodged. I like the abstract effect of the image.

Beautiful! The colors are great and I especially like the two ribbons of bubbles that are above and below the leaf leading my eye right to it. As far as I'm concerned the DOF is right on also.

Richard:
Just the right DOF at the right moment. Lovely that you captured the bubbles as well. Like the colors of the leaf.

Richard, this is beautiful. The clarity and colors of the leaf and the foreground water are great.

love this shot, all the subtle colors in the water compliment the red leaf. Did you use a polarizing filter? some areas, notably upper central seem to have a little bit of glare. Great composition.
