Alpine Pearl, Kananaskis Country, Alberta.

This photo was taken the same morning as my last posting “Awaking,” only a few minutes later with a light much warmer.

Thank you for having a look and leaving a comment.

D5 II, 16-35mm at 16mm, three raw files hand blended.

Intense light you have captured. The blend looks well done, I wish the camera was a little closer to the edge to peer over the edge a little more. Maybe you had a reason for this camera placement, but i would love to see more over the edge. Very cool shot.

That's some spectacular light. The web presentation is immaculate. My only slight reservation is that the foreground seems to be the (relative) weak link here in an outstanding scene - I had the same thoughts as Harry in this matter.

Wonderful light, colors, mist and reflection! I agree with wishing you were closer to the edge or to the right, so the lower rocks were not so prominent.

Lake on fire! What wonderful light you had there. The foreground is picking up just enough of that dazzling to hold it's own against the insane background. Nice one.

Beautiful shot and superb processing job. The foreground doesn't bother me at all . . . I can see why a few of the other commenters called it out as a slight weakeness, but overall the scene is so strong that I don't really give it a second thought.

Wow, what wonderful glowing light! The thumbnail doesn't begin to do this justice. I'd crop a little of the foreground to place more emphasis in the top half of the image.
