Narrows - Wide

Another comp from my travels in the Narrows of Zion. I was attracted to the wedges of colors, textures and tones intersecting toward the middle of the image. While some of the more successful shots of the Narrows seem to have one wall illuminated by reflected light, I thought the even lighting allowed for the use of a pano format to show off all the layers of interst the Narrows has to offer. Trying a different take on old ground.

Harry,

I like this and think you have succeeded in presenting the Narrows in a different light - so to speak. I like the balance between the stream, rocky shore and the trees and of course the canyon walls. They all seem to fit well together. And it's the pano format that helps make this a little different.

I especially like the presence and combo of the stream beach with the rounded boulders. This capture just has lots to explore and enjoy.

The only suggestion I really have would be a slight burn down of the water and beach. Just slightly bright for my taste. And perhaps some contrast in the water. Otherwise, nice work.

I like this, Harry! The pink sand is nice, and contrasts well with the greenery covering the rocks on the left side. This is pretty fresh from here to my memory. Nice!

The foreground here really makes this image. The textures and details are fantastic.

This is just a great view (great comp). I really enjoy looking at this. The foreground is so interesting the way you captured it here. Wonderful work, Harry.

This wonderful slice of heaven just makes me all the more eager for my own trip this coming June. Great contrasts of colors and textures here. I could stare for days.

very nicely done Harry. I can't remember seeing another shot from this viewpoint/perspective, which is good. The comp seems very thoughtful and carefully crafted, and works very well. Certainly one of the nicest Narrows images I've viewed.

Fine wide angle take on the narrows Harry. Great eye to catch a rock with that much green. This image looks hurt by compresssion. I would have loved to see a large version included. Have a great day!
