Ya that's me on the bench! I liked the stark climate and cloud formations here. I did some shots of the bench itself but found that it worked better when I put a sad looking individual in the shot! I got a friend to trip the shutter - yes I have a few friends.

Pondering is a more suitable title I think...... Very pensive scene Wayne and I like the emotion it conveys. Also a wonderfully processed B&W. At first I thought the brighter sky above the mountain was a little too bright, but after looking at it a while I think it balances the scene quite well.

Great b&w conversion, classic comp. I think you in the scene makes it work for me

Your friend is a pretty good photographer! This is very nice Wayne. Your idea of sitting on the bench worked out great. Nice mood captured.

Maybe "The Loner" would be a better title! I like the inclusion of your figure in the image. Excellent B&W conversion!

The title made me laugh! I might have had my friend sit down, and taken the pic myself though.

Beautiful mood shot. B&W works great. Wish the camera was higher to bring your head down into the snow.

David,
I did try raising the camera, but it got to the point where the lake became too prominent as I moved the camera higher. This was kind of a compromise. I did as much as I could in post to make sure there was some separation between the black hood and the dark trees.

Looks like a cold but peaceful place to sit and think. B&W works really well here.

Hey Wayne. From my laptop, the B&W conversion feels a little flat. The comp is good, but the person is almost a silhouette, though not really a strong enough shape to carry it as a silhouette. Can you bring out some contrasting toning to bring in detail there?

How about "Contemplation" for a title? Great shot, Wayne, and a good decision to put a person on the bench.
