First image for a while - another Bittern taken before Christmas. Still haven't taken any shots this year.

Must be very difficult to spot these birds in the reeds Oscar.
Well captured.

Super image Oscar,
This typical pose works well with the oof reed on the rhs, although I may be tempted to crop a little from the left to remove some of the other oof reed.
hmmmmm.... maybe too many acronyms in that last sentence

Great capture, Oscar. I agree with Rob about cropping a little bit from the left though.

Another excellent image Oscar but such a shame about that very prominent reed below its beak. I think cropping from the left would spoil your composition and so I'd be tempted to maybe darken down the highlighted oof foreground on the left which may help to lessen their impact.

Great shot of a Bittern in it's habitat, I really like the 'peering through the reeds watching a Bittern' feel to the shot, and you've got a good point of view here too. It's amazing how their colouring matches the reeds perfectly! I wouldn't change this shot at all personally.

Beautiful example how almost perfect they disappear in the environment.

very nice shot, gives a great sense of setting, i like how the image is framed on either side by out of focus reeds
