Venice Reflections

As a new NPN member, this is my first posting to the CANP forum, or any NPN forum for that matter. The image is a composite of two frames, one exposed for the sky and one for the foreground, following a tutorial from a friend in South Africa. Because the images were taken with a Tokina 11-16 lens @ 14mm, I had to correct for barrel distortion before using a layer blend in CS5 to blend the two frames at the horizon. Other than the distortion correction, this is pretty much SOOC except for some minor curve adjustments to increase the contrast. That said, I'm looking for constructive feedback. Thanks in advance and I hope to be an engaging contributor and active member.

Bruce, Your PP looks very good. Fantastic sky and creative use of the FG for the reflection. The pier adds a nice element to the composition. Welcome to NPN and CANP and nice first post. Best Regards.

Great first post and welcome aboard. Really nice job on the blend, too. I am looking forward to seeing more of your posts.

Very nice, Bruce. I like the minimalist composition, the sky and its reflection.

Welcome to CANP/NPN! We're looking forward to your images and comments!
