Stormy CNM

I shot this back in Oct. up at the Colorado National Monument. The prominent rock formation is the Kissing Couple. There was a storm to the north that came through Clifton a short time later and dumped a lot of rain and hail. Comments appreciated.

I really like the sense of depth you have in all the layers Angela. The dappled sunlight is helpful too and lovely. I could see increasing the contrast in the sky a touch if you like. Cheers

Excellent light and color, Angela. The pano comp works great with this one, too.

I like the way the light shoots through the "slot" between the fg formation and the next one out. Really lights up the edges and gives a good idea of the lay of the land, depth, etc. Comp is nice particularly with the way it is cropped. I think more off the top (down to just a fraction below the biggest lump of white cloud) helped the Kissing Couple to come into better relief- at least for me- if you're interested in giving it a look...

Captures the place perfectly. The muted tones work well in this overcast light.

I like the pano format, and the composition. Neat storm light conditions too. I might bump the shadow contrast a tiny bit.

Great vista, Angela. The expsosure shows a lot of detail throughout, but I agree with Chris's comment.

Glad you included a larger image, much better than the smaller one. I would like to see just a bit more contrast in the rock formations. but it might be my monitor. The one blown out cloud does IMHO distract a some, but I am not sure it should be cropped out. Overall a very nice image. Hope to see more. Thanks for sharing.
