That's just plain weird Matt. Very beautiful and monochromatic kaleidoscope image.

Why the humiliation? You could've said you took this with a 1DsIII and we'd all feel better.
Terrific shot, eye-catching (pun intended)

Hi Luis,
I'm really hesitant to post any photo I've taken with my iPhone. Usually I'm using it to document beer fueled idiocy ;~} , scouting missions, and for spontaneous family photos.I find it hard to take the damn thing serious for legit work. My camera gear was in my SUV, a few miles away. I was scouting some areas for neat ice patterns when I stumbled upon a few of these "craters". I thought fcuk it, I'll use the dang iPhone with several exposures and see what I get. Not bad. I did another pano with it before. If I'm lucky it might look decent at A3 size. Scary thing is, it has better IQ then a first generation DB I used in studio 10 years ago!

Floris the center thin circle is approx. 6" in diameter. I was holding the camera as high as I could. (picture Karate kid pose ... ) With cat like movements I stealthily snapped away ...

It looks like the top of some sort of melon or fruit.

It does look like an aerial photo, just not sure where from, maybe a satellite. Really cool Matt, and well done. Think I saw one of these once
