Cantigy Park, Winfield IL Oct 2010. As I was looking fall foliages, I attracted by the pattern created by this small waterfall. I decided to use BW to emphasis on the shapes and form.

Settings: Nikon D80, 35mm Nikkor 24-70mm + ND filter, f/10, 1.3Sec, ISO100

C&C are welcome and appreciated.

I like the idea here Jim, but it is lacking a strong focal point. I feel it needs stronger lines, or even something static to "ground" the shot.

Very interesting patterns. I might consider increasing the contrast a bit.

Thank you for the feedbacks
- Ben, I see your point. The ledge at top frame was there for that intention. May be it is not predominate enough. I was considering of removing it all together to make the photo even more abstract, but decided to leave it there to provide subtle hint.

- Guy, your point is taken.

It's an interesting idea and composition. Maybe it needs some lighting to standout.

These look like ghosts and apparitions to me. I like the abstract nature of this shot.
