Sharing my Sunrise

I had my camera sitting on the tripod along Isle Royale's Tobin Harbor and had already shot a couple of sunrise shots that I was pleased with, when this black duck decided to join me. I snapped off a couple more shots before he swam off.

This is my first post to the network, so bare with me if I've left anything out. Shot with a Canon 50D and 17-55mm lense set to auto bracket exposures. It is pretty mush as shot except for some sharpening.

This is a very nice first post, Carl. You captured some beautiful colors, and the duck is a very nice extra touch. I really like the ripples in the water the duck created. Would be nice to see it a little larger and I'm sure that will come.
I have been wanting to get to Isle Royale for some time now. Hopefully this coming year. This makes me want to go even more! Very nice work.

I love this image with the duck in it and the circles in the water. The colors and silhouettes are beautiful.

Beautiful shot Carl, and welcome to NPN! I really like the patterns in the clouds reflected in the foreground and the ripples and duck add that something extra to an already nice photo. Well done!

This is a beautiful setting and sunrise...good exposure and composition. Like Nick, I too would like to see it large. you are allowed to post up to 720 pixels on the long side..just be sure to keep images under the 200KB size.
