...another from Fossil Falls along Hwy 395. The contrast created by the early morning light on the yellow rabbit brush and the dark volcanic rock caught my eye.

Very good. I especially like the glowing light on the bushes and how you composed them to walk the eye right up to the mountain

Beautiful, Reno! You profited from great light. The rabbit bush
glows. You have strong FG elements which nicely contrasts
against th middle area and the blue sky.

Very nice indeed, Reno. I really like how the light has dabbled through the scene making some nice spotlights of sorts on the various rocks and plants. The vertical composition was perfect for this one too. From the many images I've seen of yours I'd rank this one way up the list, a truly excellent shot.
Looks like that old Fossil Falls area does have some sites to be seen. Being at about mid journey for me most times along the 395 route I've never stopped to even look, so far anyway....

Really nice comp, Reno. Besides the great light on the Rabbit Brush, I like the way the way you've maintained features in the dark foreground areas. The cloud really helps balance the image, as well.

Reno,
This is really sweet! I love the light! If possible, can you pull any detail from the very dark areas of the lava flow? The rabbit brust is really glowing. You timed this just right!
Good work!

Reno,
Congrats you seem to pull outstanding images out of some areas that are just a soda cans throw away from 395. I like this area too, looks like I'm going to have to get back there in Autumn.
