Mule Deer, autumn storm

I found this handsome buck a few weeks ago. It was the rutting season and he was searching for doe's during one of the first snow storms of the year.

All your comments and suggestion are very much appreciated.

Beautiful scene you've captured Ken!
The muted tones caused by the falling snow are great!

Been trying to get a shot like this for years. Great spread on those antlers. I like the reds and yellows of the BG and the big green branch looming over the brush. The overall image has a nice painterly quality to it.

This looks terrific Ken, the falling snow and subdued colours have given it a very nice painterly look.

That's a tremendous quality buck. I like the artistic, moody quality of this animalscape.

I like this sort of wildlife image a lot Ken, meaning a beautiful subject in suitable habitat with great atmospheric conditions. The snow is wonderful and I like the composition with the deer far to the left. :toast:
