Convergence

The Narrows and Orderville Canyon converge. I am hoping the lighting made the Orderville entrance obvious on the right, as it's often difficult to see side channels when all of the rock is similar. I used 2 vertical images to cover the view seen here.

Geez, Harry, i always comment on the previous 5 posts, so thanks to you sneaking one in before i post--now i have to make it 6!
Well, you really lucked out with the square dimnensions--it enabled you to post really really big. The larger version is almost too big--i had to scroll to see it all. :jump:
Anyhow, sorry to give you a hard time, im actually really enjoying this shot, its a bit different from the typical narrows stuff--i really like the effect of the square copmp, gives it a nice spacious feel like being in an opera theater or something. And the detail is great! :wavey:

Harry, the extra wide view is something we haven't seen here on the site before or in most other sites I frequent. I too also love the square comp because I'm not square comp biased but I have run into quite of few of the square comp dislikers.

I can definately see the split in the river there. I like the comp, and the color in the water is nice too.

This is pretty neat, Harry. A different comp for sure from this area. The textures are really something and a real nice mix of colors. Saturation junkie that I am, I could see taking the greens and oranges a little more intense.

Very nice Harry - also nice to see a different comp of the area! The convergence is definitely visible and I really like the square comp. The varnished walls have great color and detail and really draw my interest.

I love this tight view. Great color in the water and wonderful mountains colors and textures.

The wide view is amazing and gives a whole new perspective on a place I've never had the opportunity to visit. The entrance shows clearly and makes the central wall look like an exquisitely carved island. I love the colors and textures in the rock. Gorgeous!

Like this one Harry I think the square format works just fine but it is the mix of cyan and red that I find beguiling and satisfying.

Nice, Harry. That's a magical place.

I think the white balance needs to be adjusted with this image. I'm seeing too much blue. I was there the past two years, and have vivid memories of the colors. I think the glowing sandstone would benefit as well.

This is wonderful, Harry. Not sure how it got past me earlier, but sure glad I looked now. This is just a great view here. Wonderful comp, light, color and the detail is amazing. I like the square format with this.
