Wetlands Winter

The Kachina Wetlands are a set of man-made ponds to benefit waterfowl and were constructed jointly by the Kachina Village Water Department, Arizona Game & Fish, and Ducks Unlimited. The ponds use reclaimed wastewater.

Photo taken this evening as a winter storm cleared revealing the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff, AZ.

Beautiful shot. Wonderfully sharp foreground that also includes muted pastel reflections and a dreamy background with snowcovered peaks and pastel skies. From this image no one would guess that man's hand enters into it.

Love all the different elements and colors here. Great sky, nice reflection, mountains, water, reeds, snow - this has it all, and very nicely captured!

Beautiful light. The large version has some great details. You could have gone for more contrast but I love the soft dreamy look here.
