Amer. Tree Sparrow

I was out and about the other day looking for whatever I could find and I came across a large group of Tree Sparrows feeding in an open field. It was about 5 degrees. They were surprisingly difficult to get a photo of, but I kind of liked this one of an individual flying up to grab a seed.

What Rich said,

and I like every thing about this shot. The colors, the action, the dried wild flower, and especially the turned fanned out tail is great!

Lovely capture and composition, and a suitably wintry color palette. Very nice.
