The back view of this Kingfisher is really pretty. Love the colors against that background. This feels like a vertical to me. Have you considered a vertical crop?

Thanks for comments !
For Keith : I have considered vertical , but have preferred horizontal because it seemed more suited to the subject's look direction

Terrific. Love the colors and comp. That beak looks top heavy, as though the bird will topple over.
Great bg as well, Giorgio.

I really like this as you've presented it Giorgio - with that large beak pointing left I'd have made this horizontal too Exellent clean image with beautiful colors.

Giorgio,

The colors of this bird are wonderful, love the pose, eye contact and the comp you used. The subtle tones of the background compliment the bird very well.

Wonderful! This one really pops from the screen. Large crop or not, it looks like pretty good detail in the plumage. Lovely shot! :toast:

Very nice. Beautiful colors, iridescence and great detail. The background color nicely sets off the bird.
