Goldcrest plus another

This little chap has been visiting my garden over the weekend. They are so small and don't land for more than a second. Managed to catch it in flight (just). Not worth posting as a large image.

D300 300mm f2.8 + 1.4 TC f3.5 1/3200s ISO 400 Quite a large crop.
High shutter speed as was set up for something else when it appeared:frown:

Wish I had them in my garden Maggie, Nice angle, love the feet, and for such a tiny bird, it's great detail. Just a tiny bit dark on my screen. :wavey:

Agree Kim it is dark but it was the best I could do with it. More a record shot than anything. The only other one I got was this. Not great either. Will have to wait until next weekend for another chance :frown:

They must be struggling in these conditions - nice capture. You might be able to lighten it a bit.

I never managed more than a ref image of a goldcrest, needs patience and fast glass. So well done!
