I caught this Roe deer enjoying some weak sunshine in the middle of the cold weather. For once I perfected my stalking technique and I left him and the four other deer laid nearby totally unaware they'd had there pictures taken :wink:

Canon 50d, Canon 100-400 @400
1/500 @ F8
ISO 320
About 30% Crop.

Couldn't crawl any closer due to lack of cover :biggrin:

I agree with Justin, well done for not distrubing them. I do think a tighter crop would improve this picture, at the moment there is a lot of wasted space at the top.

Scott thats a great feeling when you get your shots and move away wildlife unaware of your presence, so nicely done.Background though busy is not distracting as it has a good consistency to it if you know what I mean.Good to see one so relaxed and and nicely lit. :toast:
