This was taken last month on our trip to the Harrison River BC Canada.
I added some canvas to the top as the top wing was almost out of frame otherwise full frame.

Canon EOS 7D
Exposure 0.001 sec (1/800)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 400 mm
ISO Speed 400

Looks like the fish escaped - nice that it's tail is still visible.
Wonderful wing-spred and pose here. Nice detail and water drops.
If it were mine, I'd move the bird to the right of the frame and leqave more room in front of him. As is, pretty centered and a little off-balance, imo.
Nice! Looking forward to more of your posts!

Very nice capture Rowdy. I would agree with Sandys suggestion for recomposing this. Good job on adding the canvas to the top. Love the talons and the water coming up from it's attempt to catch something.

Rowdy,

I like the pose, the splashing water and the setting. I do think this image would have more impact from a compositional viewpoint if there were more room on the left and less room on the right

Beautiful well captured image!
Very nice detail and pose of the eagle.
Nice added element with the fish still showing.
Agreement with nits mentioned with comp.
Also, I think the photo could use a touch of rotation ccw
