Backyard Potholes

Yeah, the potholes again. Sorry. This is from a couple months ago. It's probably a little dark for some, but that's how I intended to display it, as I wanted something a bit more moody and different from some of the shots I have from here. There's plenty of detail in the dark areas, btw.

I like it Jimmy. A unique perspective that's nice processed. Love the reflections in the center potholes.

The dark, moody shadows work nicely with the reflected golden light in each pothole. I think this wider composition works really well, it definitely feels very balanced.

I like this. The dark look seems to work well with the reflected light in the potholes. It does give it a nice mood feeling. I like the comp and the sky looks great too.

The dynamic range looks good to me. I like the effect of individual sky reflections.

Gotta love that foreground, and you've got some nice sky too - beautifully presented.

This is where potholes belong! I like seeing the slope up to the potholes and the reflections. :toast:

Awesome work Jimmy. I love the comp and colors. You might want to try lightening the whole right side of the image. It looks too dark to me.

These potholes sure have been good too you. I don't mind the dark all that much as it basically forms some great shapes for the reflections. I would say the the large areas of dark around the lower corners does seem a bit much and could maybe use some selective dodging to add a little texture.

Interesting light play in the foreground formations. I like the muted coloration and dark mood.

You do these so well Jimmy. Those pot hole are crazy cool.
