With the fog rolling in and out and freezing temperatures it gave some lovely winter light. This was taken mid afternoon when the sun decided to show itself.

All feedback is welcome and thanks for looking.

Works very well with the blue sky as a bg. Great simple contrast of blue, white and the dark tree trunk/branches. Well composed.

A very pleasant composition, I especially like the play of shady and bright parts.

This tree has a lot of character, and the frosty limbs just add so much. Nicely seen and delivered Gary.

Gary,

Phenomenal light on that tree. It really has me glued. I like this very much.

I'm drawn to the character of lone trees and the ice dressing on this one makes it exceptional! Great image. :toast:

Hoarfrost does wonders for subjects like this. Just with the left side of the tree had the same light as the right to highlight the frost as much.

Wicked Wicked Wicked Wicked awesome light Gary. I love the light hitting those tree limbs. I keep staring at this photo, just an outstanding job of catching some great weather. I also like the soft texture in the clouds, I think it compliments the main subject nicely. Cheers

Great shot, Gary. I love how the frozen branches stick out in front of the sky and the dark trunks.

Excellent shot Gary. Wonderful color palette and composition. Have you thought about a B & W conversion too?

Well done Gary, The hoar frost is beautiful. I might crop from the left and right a little, just to focus on the tree. The b&w version works nice.
