Barn Owl at last light

Barn Owl, hunting over the reedbed just before the sun was about to set. I'm not quite sure my processing is up to scratch on this one as there is visible noise in the foreground, so any help with processing dark images with high noise levels would be appreciated.

All critique most welcome and thanks for looking.

Andy, I can not comment on the processing- just learning myself. But, I do like the mood and image this photographs creates. Nice shot.

Neat shot, I like the overall feel of the shot. This is one that I think would look terrific as a large print...I bet that even the "larger" photo here doesn't do this justice.

Thanks for the feedback guys :toast:

If anyone has any tips on how to remove noise, without losing detail, that would be greatly appreciated.

Amazing how even though the owl is small in the frame it really catches the eye. I wish I could help with the noise but I have no idea.

I like how the owl is flying low over the grasses. The colors look good for the time of day.

Andy, I like how you caught the owl in the darkness between the light above and below. Really like the feeling of hunting over habitat. Interesting image.

Andy, love the mood of this image and the warm tones. For this image I would carefully select the noisy grasses in the foreground and just apply NR just to them.
