wow, superbe colors. The wasp (or fly?) really add to the shot. I'm also very impressed by the fact that the image is very sharp despite the exposure time and long focal length!

My wife (who's not a fan of bird photography) even called our 3 years old daughter "come to see the nice birdie on the computer" to show her this impressive shot!

Great capture of my favourite KF. Dark conditions are the norm for this forest KF in Malaysia and Singapore and I was shooting it at 1/15 sec and less. 1/30 sec at ISO400 would have been very good!

Well done!

Was unaware kingfishers would eat bugs. Amaazing colors and great capture. Would be thrilled to see this - let alone photograph it

A superb photograph. Amazingly crisp for 1/30th. The neon colors are just excellent. And the bug is just icing.

Very nice capture. Love the iridescence in those back feathers. He certainly posed nicely for you.

WOW. Just magnificent. Those colors. The huge disproportionate eyes and beak and the bug to boot. This is just an all round great image.

Cracking image, Harshad. This is such a colourful bird and great to capture a shot of it with a prey item in it's beak.

Astonishing colours, even for a kingfisher. You have captured it superbly as well.

A very strong image Harshad. I love it for all the very obvious reasons. I'd personally like to see more room up top but I'm obviously in the minority and comp is so personal anyway. Excellent shot.
