Olympus E-3, 300mm, hand-held prone on ice-floe
f5.6, 1/500, ISO100

Yalour Islands, Antarctic Peninsula, on a large ice floe about 1/4 mile off-shore. Despite their name, they don't eat crab; they eat krill.

Full frame, very slightly lightened, selective sharpening.

C & C, please. Thanks for looking.

Jim,

Did you mean ISO 1000? I'm seeing almost no detail outside of the face which isn't terribly detailed either. I like the shot and it's funny to see how small the face is compared to the body.

Neat head on view. I like the "rings" on the body that radiate out from the head. Overall image seems to have a very slight greenish/cyan color.

I love the perspective here Jim, quite funny to see that big round body head-on. Shallow DOF in principle works well, yet I would have stopped down one or maybe two stops for this perspective. :toast:

Nice, endearing pose, and love the sharpness of the face fading away into the blurred body.

Great eye contact and I really like that low angle.
