Sony A700
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 200, .5sec @ f16

Taking a short break from the tulip shots (still more to come) to post this little scene from our back patio. We planted this Christmas cactus under our ornamental pear tree and its done very well. Parts of it are practically buried by the leaves and this caught my eye. All comments welcome. >=))>

Very striking natural arrangement Bill. I really love the collage of color and BG leaf shapes. I think IMO, that it works really well. The larger version is outstanding!

BIll:
The christmas cactus is just fabulous and is as good as it get. The BG leaves are also very nice with different shapes, colors and texture. However the combination of the two seem a little busy IMHO.

Harmony and contrast in this feast of colors. The aristocratic Rhipsalis wixed with dead leaves makes a splendid compositional contrast. I am in love with this image, Bill.
Cheers.

Hi Bill :wavey: The vibrant detail and color of the cactus petals against the multi colored leaves, makes for a wonderful spectacle :toast:

Nice range of colors and textures Bill. Sorry to be so absent lately. If I could have 36 hours in a day, I would be here every day for sure! :frown:

I just wanted to say 'Merry Christmas' and that I miss all of you NPN folks.

Nicely done Bill. I find these to be difficult subjects but this is excellent IMO. The tip almost looks frosty.
