I went back to this location to see if the logs had been washed away only to find this bush above the falls in full autumn colours.I think next time I go I'll look for a different perspective.

Too bad about the logs but that tree in all it's fall glory is special. I love how the white of the water pop's against it's surroundings and you have capture some nice texture there also.Cheers

Not bad, Dean. The water makes a nice line, the foreground is nice and the splash of fall color is just in the right place.
I like it.
Edit: I like the logs.

That one lone tree with the beautiful gold trees in the otherwise dark and green forest really stands out, Dean! The logs, while they take away from the 'perfection', give the scene a real sense of 'wild'. Nicely done.

Wow Dean this is very nice. That tree really stands out. I actually like the logs as it gives the scene a wild and natural appearance.

I guess I am one of the few that doesnt mind logs in waterfall pictures as it is the way most of them are in nature. Great comp and good detail in the water. Well done!!

Dean, what 1st came to mind on this one is a "burning bush". What a sweet find! This is a standout image!

What a lovely composition, and the colors of the leaves are just intense. I like the logs there; that's part of nature. I do find the shadows a little too blocked - would like to see a bit more detail there.

Turning tree makes an excellent focal point here. Lots of nice textures in this too. This will be hard to beat.

Dean,
Not withstanding the presence of the autumn tree or "burning bush," I would say, "X" marks the spot! I also like the fallen logs, at least in the sense that they have created some dynamic lines. And it's not just one log that ruined a picture of a pretty waterfall, but there's a design here that I just think happens to work very well. The colorful tree is just a great bonus. Put it all together and you've crafted a wonderful image.
The only suggestion I have is either a crop or "clone" up top to eliminate the little bright patch. but that's minor.

I think this is exquisite. The logs don't bother me one bit.
