This shot was in Interlaken-Switzerland, it was my first trip outside Saudi Arabia and I really wasn't used to Europe weather, it was very cold. I stayed two days in interlaken. The first day I saw this place in the middle of the day and I visualize the picture in my mind and I planend to come In the Next morning before sunrise and I did and I came to the place two hours befor sunrise but there was a fog all of the day. In the following morning I have to travel to another city to catch up the plane but come back again and stay until the sunrise came and bring some nice colour to the sky. and I catched the plane in the last moment.

The big Picture is much sharper and better,

I hope you like it and I really appreciate your comments.

A very effective composition Abdulmajeed! That leaf really adds a lot to the composition.

Abdulmajeed all the ingredients are there for a great photo. Mountains, Lake and Light and a nice foreground. There is just one problem that i see and many people will disagree with me I am sure but the leaf up front on the rock seems a little out of place. It leaves me with a certain disconnect because I have no visual reference for where the leaf came from, it just does not connect with anything else in the photo. I hope that all makes sense and I like everything else about the photo.Cheers

Abdulmajeed,

I like this photo. It appealed to me right away. I think there is great color harmony and the leaf is was what brings that. Even though there is no real reference for where the leaf might have come from, it makes this image. This was well conceived and executed.

Your execution of this scene is very good! Everything looks nice, but I do agree with Raymond that the leaf may seem slightly out of place. Nothing else in the photo indicates that it is fall and there are no other leaves in sight. This is probably something photographers will think about more than your regular audience, who I am sure will love it. The color and interest added by the leaf is certainly pleasing. Well done!

A very beautiful photo--the long exposure helps give a nice calm appearance to the water, and theres some nice reflection at the top--just a great peaceful scene!
About the leaf--i agree that it looks out of place or too 'arranged' (i also agree that other photographers are more likely to notice this!) I think one way to mitigate this would have been to move the leaf forward a bit higher up, so that it was lying at an angle, pointing towards the distant mountain rather than straight up towards the sky. That way, it would look more like the leaf had fallen on the rock, rather than being placed there as in a portraiture. :wavey:

Hi Abdulmajeed, Nice to see you here. I just joined and now I feel home as I see your name.

The contrast of the leaf color and the rest of the seen made a great impact! Well done.

Looks very good. I like the well-balanced. Even w/o the leaf, I think the comp and light would still work here, but it does make an impressive element.

I really like the minimalist feel of this one. It's almost abstract-ish because the image can be broken down into just a handful of geometric shapes. The soft, pastel hues further enhance the minimalist feel. Very pleasing and zen-like.

The image does beg the question of whether or not the photographer placed the leaf there. However, for me, I could care less. The image is all that matters. And its a good one.
