Expressing solidarity

Indian Elephants expressing solidarity.
Before I go into slumber mode at the year end, I was very keen to share this photo.
Although three elephants are visible in the frame, there were more on both the sides forming semi-circle around me and they were shaking their trunks wildly, touching each other, making shrieking sounds at the top pitch. I just grabbed few frames and left the place. All this resulted in the tilted frame, it could have been upside down.
Secondly, if I had time to plan, I could have gone for wider lens but I had 70-200 mm on the camera and it was shot at 70mm, just couldn't afford to change it.
This image is 'Highly Honored Winner' in Natures Best competition, 2010.
Thank you so much for your kind attention & views !
HAPPY HOLIDAYS !
Canon 40D, 70-200mm at 70mm, ISO 320, 1/125 sec. at F 4.

Great image. I really like the interaction of the elephants. That must have been an exciting situation.

A single image that provides incredible insight into these creatures. I can see why it got kudos.

Another cool image, Jagdeep. I hate to suggest a tweak to a Natures Best honoree, but to my eye maybe a little more contrast? Congrats on the well deserved recognition.

Congrats on the winning image, Jagdeep! The elephants on the flanks seem to be seeking reassurance from the matriarch in the centre. :toast:

This is very nice Jagdeep. I like the interaction between the elephants and the bands of habitat (FG grass and BG trees).
