This image was taken on the Whitefish River from the same position as my previous two duck posts. I was at river' edge draped in a Kwik Camo late afternoon with overcast skies and light snow.

Love the cold feeling to this image. The cool color temp really works with the snowy conditions. I am getting chills here in FL just looking at this. Perfect setting for this goldeneye. My only wish is that the bird's head was sharper in the larger version.

Love the alert pose Chuck. The inclusion of snow (both falling and in the background) really adds to the mood for me. I think you've made the most of the shot with your composition and that brightly colored eye is perfect for us to hone in on the bird with it relatively small in the frame. Head could be sharper but not bad either. Nicely done.

I really like this comp, it gives me the sense of the weather condition at the moment of the shot, that's cold. Very nice image. :toast:
