This is another of the ducks I found along the Whitefish River. This drake was with his hen floating downriver late afternoon after a day of continuous light snow.

Nice profile of the head and good techs here, Chuck. Those water droplets are full and round, ready to roll off. Wouldn't mind being that waterproof myself.

Chuck, I enjoy the head turn allowing us to see the eye well and really like the cold mood here which the cool background colors enhance. The water drops on the back add a lot. I know that river well but haven't seen it in winter for a long time.

I like the glimps of the tail spread to go with the water beads and movement.Shows the mood well.

Difficult exposure, handled very well. I like the water ripples and the droplets on the back.

I love the cold feel to this image, the water droplets on the merganser's back and face, your low angle and how you handled your exposure.
