Another learning exercise.
I was there before sunrise waiting to get the morning sun on the mountains. It obviously never happened. This is July 4th weekend.
f11
1 sec -0.3 step
ISO 100
32 mm
Suggestions welcomed.

Looks like tough flat light for photography. Not sure what you tried on this but I'd say that a boost of contrast would help - with an increase in exposure for the snow. Looks like a great place to spend the morning.

The light sky is my only issue with this. Cropping the sky entirely, however, leaves a pretty fine image, though more abstract in nature.

Looks like a beautiful place Chad. I might consider cropping out the dead snag/protruding tree on the left since they really don't seem to add much to the scene. Might be an interesting scene to process in b/w since the sunrise color never materialized. Also the image appears a bit soft on my monitor.

Chad,

I like this mountain land and reflectionscape quite a lot. I don't mind the sky so much as you've appropriately limited it's presence. I do agree though that Tony's suggested crop would work well as an alternative.

the only nitpick I have is what looks to me like compression issues getting to the web. This just looks like it's suffering from pixel loss, which among other things make this look soft. If you could improve the web presentation that will make a huge difference.

The exposure looks fine and the blue hour light is well captured. I'm not all that convinced about the composition though, in particular in inclusion of the tree so close to the left edge which seems intrusive rather than having anything to say about the context of the landscape.
