Any trip to the Southern cost of South Africa must include a trip to Boulders Beach to see the African Penguin colony. These critters are cute as can be and highly entertaining. This one seemed to be thinking twice about heading back out to sea. C&C always appreciated, thanks for looking!

THis picture does tell a story and he looks a bit sad to me. I like the low angle and detail in the blacks. Wishing for a bit more head turn toward the camera.

I really like this. Must have been amazing to see penguins in real life. I like the hesitant posture and the headturn looks pretty good to me.

interesting pose and image of this nice penguin. I saw this species many years ago at the same place and it was a beautiful and funny encounter.

Neat to see this penguin in such an interesting setting Joe. It's so cold around here that at first glance I almost assumed that the bird was walking on ice here. Some of the whites seem pretty bright and lacking in detail.

Looks like he was just about to take a dive! Would've been great to have a little more head turn toward the camera. It must have been wonderful observing their behaviour!

Thanks folks! The penguins in South Africa are so much fun to watch, every bit as entertaining as those in Antarctica but in shorts and t-shirt weather instead of a full on arctic survival suit.
