Another from Bombay Hook, Delaware.
Nikon D300 with 500mm and 1.4 teleconverter. F9 1/1000 and ISO 640. I liked the white bird against the black rocks and the hint of water in the corner. Thanks to Mia and Ron for their suggestions on my last Snowy post. Comments and critique are welcome.

Nice sharp image of the bird. I like the detail of the feathers just above the legs. I like the dark background as well. Nicely done.

Excellent job of exposing the whites against that dark bg, Andrew. Nice detail and a good pose. The bg works really well here. :toast:

Nice job on the exposure. I also like that the feet are visible, since they are often under water.

Andrew,

I like the pose of the egret, how nicely it stands out from the dark rocks in the background and the head angle. The details on the front of the bird look very nice. One thing I notice is that there are some whites on the wing that look a little hot, you may be able to bring those down in ACR.

I like this better than your previous post because the feet are visible.
