Red Bishop

This was taken in the Desert Dome at the Henery Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE. There were several birds flying loose in the dome. I have been to Puerto Rico a couple of times and the Red Bishop is wild there, but I had no chances to see or photograph them.

Very nice image. The bit of OOF green in the lower right corner is abit distracting, but not much. Thanks for sharing this well done portrait.

Beautiful bird, and an excellent head turn, Richard. You did a great job keeping the zoo artifacts from showing. Sweet image. :toast:

Nice pose Richard, the head angle works very well for me. Lovely plumage details & sharpness.

One of these birds was reported here last week, an escapee I am sure, but it better move south fast it is only 10 degrees here this morning!
