Gray Wagtail Fishing

One from the summer I had gone out on my motorbike and had only taken the D70 and 80-400 lens to save weight. I was laying on the river bank waiting for Dippers when this shot presented its self.

Not set up just pure dumb luck

Ian,

I laughed after reading the title, then seeing the twig with the filamentaceous algae dangling from it, that sure looks like a fishing pole to me! How nice that the wagtail posed right next to it. Nice water color and interesting setting, nice pose from the bird too. To my eye the chest on the wagtail looks how, if you shot this in RAW you may be able to bring that down and show more detail there.

That's a fun shot Ian. I like your pano comp here, a bit more of a head turn would have been nice. :toast:

Fun image. Bird seems a tad bright. I would try and adjust for that.
