Harvestman II

Is it possible to make an artistic image with a 'bug' as the subject?

It seems like its been a dog's age since I posted to the macro forum, but I had some fun with an old image file today and thought I'd share it here for comments and critique.

The subject is a macro of a harvestman inside of a shrub. I had to poke my 180mm macro deep into the bush to get the shot, and went for a shallow DoF for effect. The image sat around for a couple of years until today when I was updatinging my catalog for some of the local galleries and bumped into it. I set aside my project for a bit and followed my urge to try a couple of processing experiments on it to see where it would lead. I am rather taken with the result, quite unexpected when I started.

What do you think?
