"Hot" Sweet Gum

Our fall colors this year have been exquisite and I find myself just wrapped up in their beauty. I'm still learning about my new macro lens and when this image didn't measure up to what I wanted, I decided to do some manipulation. Hot colors for our upcoming cool winter. I know the acorn is not the right seed for the sweet gum but the sweet gum seed pod was just too overbearing on this beautiful leaf. But I like this look.
