Sand Storm

Wind blown sand on Inverness Beach, Nova Scotia. I just love the weather crazy conditions of this place. While not as cold as previous years the wind was still as ferocious.

SR Color Combo

Thanks for looking and for any comments and critiques.

Excellent work again Eva! This time it is the sense of depth and distance created by your composition that appeals to me. The pepples and the wide angle lens do their job very well to convey this.

Sharp from top to bottom and no wonder, I think you use that TS very well, great composition also.

The clean, simplicity of the sand makes for a very surreal shot. I like how the rock sin the lower left lead my eye into the scene, and the rocks tend to sweep toward the background on the right side.

Very nice, Eva. All the rocks look great with this wide view comp, and I really like the blowing sand. The larger view shows that nicely. Nice work.

Eva,

A departure from your "big sky" image, and I think this is great. I really like the expanse of rock and sand here. And I can see that the sky and conditions are a bit gray, but I like the amount of sky that you did include for a very nice composition. Nicely captured Eva, I like this very much.

Awesome shot, Eva. I love the near to far sharpness and the details in the sand and pebbles. I've been weighing up whether to buy a TS lens over a standard wide, but it's shots like this that really sway me. I hope you've recovered from the wind blasting! Beautiful work!

I really like your comp and the colors. Everything directs the eyes toward the middle and to the background. Lovely image, Eva!

Love the perspective Eva, and great use of that tilt shift lens. Love the texture in the sand and rocks. The windswept look of the image definitely gives the viewer an idea of that intense wind you experienced. Another incredible mood of your favorite place.

You turn out the ordinary subject to interesting picture. I also like the stormy tone of this image too.
