Sometimes the stars don't align.I found this rivelet flowing towards the main river with a reflection of the colour and clouds but I wasn't happy with the composition. When I found a comp I liked the reflection was only of the blue sky and not nearly as exciting. Also, being as blind as I am, I didn't notice the bird tracks until I was at home.I find myself wishing for a "do-over" button much too often. The first photo is the second comp(without the colourful reflection)and the second photo is the first comp.

I really like the second one! The reflection adds a great deal to the scene. I would try to change the color of the yellow in the sky to more of an orange. As it is, it just looks a little weird to me.

Yeah, theres something funky about the sky--might want to check your histogram and try to keep the right side intact.
This is a cool scene, but all of my attention is on the reflected colors in the second shot. Since that to me is 100X cooler than anything else in this photo, i wish that was the main subject here--it could have been an awesome photo. The shot as presented is pretty...but there's pretty, and then there's AWESOME

I like both of these but prefer the first one where the gray clouds and ripples compliment each other very well but the second could also be something really special with the sky color adjusted.

Dean,

Second one for me. The orange reflection really anchors the scene. I might even opt for a crop left and bottom to emphasize that even more. The composition of the original is quite good with the flow and lead-in feature, but it lacks the colorful reflection of the second (posting.)

It seems the colour cast is from dodging in ps. This is a blend with a darker exsposure.

I think the second has a little more impact for me with the color in the reflection. Nice!
