Well not a real sunset, a faux sunset. Because winter is coming soon in Canada, and I wanted a warm scene. Comments appreciated.

Albert: One of my favorite subjects superbly captured. Maybe a tiny bit more room on both sides but this works for me as is. Well done. >=))>

Hey Albert, nice sunset I like how you processed this. Sharp detail and no blown highlights. The bg works well with the milkweed.

Lovely Milkweed, Albert. The faux sunset works well; a touch more canvas on either side, pls.
Ciao ;^)

A wonderful background, and great lighting. A truly beautiful image!
And, yes, Bill is right that it could use a touch more room around it.

Thanks for the splendid feedback. folks. I tried to get more canvas, but that shrunk the important detail of the milkweed floss . I even have a tighter version, with incredible floss detail, i will send it to macro. will post it next week...

Beautiful Albert! For me the milkweed looks much better on a colored, warm background. I expected a frozen background from Canada, in these time of the year! I agree with Bill's suggestion.
Take care.

Wow! This is just beautiful! I would suggest a slight crop off the bottom and the right to center the subject a bit more. Otherwise a very cool shot!

Love the gradient in the bg Albert. I'd add a bit more canvas on the sides as Bill suggestions but perfect for me other than that. A very fine image.

The milkweed seed pod is most fascinating and I think you did well to emphasize the silky look of the threads and the structure of the pods. Not too enthusiastic about the choice for the background though-- a purely personal thing.
