Fall Colors

Gallery: Macro & Close-upPosted November 19, 201071 views7 comments
Our fall colors are still vibrant, especially the Bradford Pear trees. Spent the afternoon raking, and raking and more raking, but then had to take a break as my new Macro Lens arrived. Of course I had to give it a try. So this is my first image with this new macro lens. Colors are nice and bright, but next step is to read the instruction booklet and just get out there and shoot

Camera is a Nikon D70, Tamron Macro 90mm lens, tripod.

Comments and critiques are very much appreciated.

Thanks for your comments Joel. I have been enjoying these beautiful colors and my new lens, just need to get out there and shoot more. So, on that note ... I'm off to do just that. Thanks again.

I like your presentation of the various colors in the pear leaves. Great composition and red, red colors. If I may make a suggestion - invest in a circular polarizing filter. They are quite handy on a macro lens. Have fun :toast:

Jamie, thanks for your comments. I actually did purchase the circular polarizing filter for this new lens but was too anxious to try out the lens. As you can imagine, I have lots to learn with this new lens, but so far I love it. The possibilities are endless, I just have to get out there and shoot, shoot, shoot. I'll post more as I get familiar with this new toy. Thanks again for viewing.

Congrats on a new lens. My macro lens practically is attached to my camera most of the time. Nice colors in this shot. Would like a little more DOF.

Thanks for all the comments. Yes, more depth of field would help this image ... that's something I need to work on, and I will. I'm always grateful for your comments.
