After a full day of Rain (with a capital R) in Glen Affric we had a very small window of great light illuminating this splendid autumn scene, luckily for me by this time my camera worked again after it decided it had enough earlier in the day (and here I was thinking the 7D could withstand some rain)so that I could capture this moment.

Very nice scene. Love the autumn tones here and the light is really good! The bright reflection from the water on the far left is a tiny bit distracting - how about a crop from the left ?

Very nice lighting on the trees that you've captured here. I also like the layers of the landscape and the moody sky. No nits from me.

I agree with the crop suggestion from Dietrich, but still the warm light and colors and the drama from the clouds make this a gorgeous and classical landscape image. Excellent work!

Jorne,

Gorgeous light in the trees - they really steal the show here.

I'm with Dietrich though and you might consider cropping out the lake reflections on the left. They are a bit of an eye magnet. Other than that, this is quite catching.

Very nice light. Feels like a painting. The layering especially seems aimed at adding depth to the canvas.

Nice warm light with compelling layering into the distance; I agree about the reflected light on the water...but still a good capture easily fixed.
