Look Fat?

The real title of this photo....is....

"Does This Limb Make Me Look Fat?"

He looked so pudgy and soft. I will post others with the wind almost blowing him out of the tree. He is still trying to steady himself..if you look at him in the thumbnail, you can see, that he is leaning slightly backwards.

a nice pose and setting, Lucy, but the overall appearance is badly off (or more suited for photo art perhaps?) to my eye. Not sure if you've used some kind of filter or just a very large amount of noise reduction, but the smoothed out detail-less bird and perch don't work well for me.

Lucy,

Posting your techs would help us all evaluate your image better. Without the techs I can't tell if the image is soft because of slow shutter speed or because you missed focus. For me the lack of detail in the plumage and the softness present isn't appealing but this may have been meant for photo art?
