As like most of us, I'm always looking down for potential shots. I found this past gone fern on a log in a local forest. It appealed to me so I goofed around with it.

Larger version shows up well IMO.

d80, 105mm, f22, 1/5, slight crop

Critiques and comments are alwaysd welcomed and appreciated.

Excellent diagonal composition Beth, I really like the different lines and angles. Amazing detail in the larger version.

Interesting pattern and superb detail Beth. Love the diagonals in the composition. A very fine abstract for my tastes. No suggestions.

Beth:
Nice diagonal lines and details in the leaves. I seldom venture into the high F number and usually hang around the wide aperture but I can see the appeal of the increase DOF with this lens.

Beth, very strong graphical image which I like very much as is.

If it were mine And still "goofing around" with it, I might try a horizontal flip and possibly a BW conversion......did I just say BW.... Shocking!!

Glorious! Wish you had kept the diagonal line a bit higher up to keep the green out of frame. Butthat is not even a small nit. Lovely.
