Salmon on the Skagit

While exploring the gravel bars of the Skagit River near North Cascades NP I noticed movement at my feet. Dozens of salmon were busy spawning at my feet. I enjoy the shot more for the abstract qualities, yet the story adds to the scene.

Aside from the vignetting being a little heavy for my personal tastes I like this a lot. A great veriety of colors to please the eyes, and the texture is just as nice. Well done.

What a neat shot and a great experience to be there. I wonder how this would look a little softer, actually, Tim; some places look a little crisp. It's a fine and colorful abstraction of a wonderful event.

I like the abstractness of it too, and the selective focus heightens this
