Autumn Cliffs

Way down on the Illinois/Kentucky border on the Miss river and part of the Shawnee Natl Forest is an area known as LaRue Hills Pine. Wetlands and huge bedrock cliffs overlook the river. The rocks are bluish and I enjoyed the late autumn colors against the rocks. But I wasn't happy with what my final image as it just didn't come together in the way that I was previsualizing. So, I goofed around some and came up with this. It's more of what I was wishing for.

Larger version really shows up the trees more.

This has a lovely painterly look to it, especially in the larger version. I particularly like how it looks like subtle brush strokes on the leaves. I really like it!

Looks really nice Beth. Simplify is a great filter. The larger image really shows this off.
