Autumn Little Owl

by Lee fisher

A wild little owl captured recently at a friends location.

The late afternoon sun bathed the scene in warm light and the backdrop of autumn trees created this effect.

With regards,

Lee

Good detail and a very nice BG. I like the side lighting here, with the owl's eye pupils of different sizes. Well done!

Excellent capture Lee - I like the warm directional light, eye contact, perch and smooth background. Owls active in daylight - that doesn't happen down here.

Love the comp, BG, and great light here Lee. The worn post with rusty wire is great. There appears to be some color banding in the BG, not sure what would cause that. Seems to be a bit more noise in the BG than I would expect at ISO 100 on the Mk IV. Not a detrimental amount at all, just noticable that is all.

Superb light and subject, Lee. Mark really has cornered the market with his Kingfisher and Little Owl sites.

Lee,

Lovely, warm light, pose, eye contact and colors. I like the weather worn perch and barbed wire too.
