The African Sloth

Hi all,

No, I am not crazy, I know there is no sloth in Africa... Anyway, this is a picture I took in Kenya last september.
It's a picture I always dreamt to do, and I finally shot it on our last day of our trip... How happy I was when I checked it on the memory card :toast:

I hope you will like it.
Cheers,

David

EXIF : Canon Eos 50D + EF600mm f/4L IS USM
1/30 s., f/4, ISO 800
(stabilized with bean bag on car's door)

PS: Oh... by the way, of course it's a lion shaking his mane after the rain

Thank you Barbara and James. I am happy of the feeling you had from this picture.

James, I deliberately took this one in portrait because, with the 600mm, I would not have got the whole head and water drops over it by shooting landscape.
Perhaps with my 300mm it would have been better, but I had the 600mm in hands at this moment

Well done, David. The perfect cone is great, but the spray really completes the story. Vertical works well for me.
