This is Frodo, taken at the British Wildlife Centre in England.

I shot it through a chain-link fence which I managed to make invisible by pressing the lens hood right into it, using a wide aperture and waiting until the fox was far away.

Very nice, perhaps a bit of adjusting where the lower left side teeth blend into the white fur, so the teeth stand out more. Thanks for sharing, very nice portrait.

Hi Geoffrey,

Very sweet light and that tongue-curl is just great! Good job on overcoming the issue presented by the chain-link fence. While this isn't the kind of image I'd personally want to hang on my wall, I really like it. A very minor issue: it looks to me like the white fur on the "rim" of its neck (left side of the neck, right side of image) is slightly blown out, especially where the white fur meets the upper canine teeth - if it's possible to retrieve the white-on-white detail here it might be worth doing.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...

Brad

I really appreciate images with the subject exhibiting behavior rather than just posing. Nicely done. The wide mouth and curled tongue provide strong visual interest. I do agree with Brad about trying to recover the area of hot whites just under his canines.
