This is a Texas Hill Country buck that has broken its brow tine. Late evening with not much light available.

Thanks for looking at my picture and for any comment.

Hi Jack. Really nice buck. I like the warm evening sidelighting you captured. The warm brown and yellow colors are beautiful. You have framed this to accentuate the antlers it seems. I would suggest a bit looser composition showing a bit more room at the sides and the bottom.

I like the evening light particularly the way they accentuate the antlers. It is a bit tight in the frame for my liking. But a really nice shot.

Thhanks for the comments! Since both wanted a picture with more room, I am adding this version. It is my favorite of the two, and I am using it as a screen saver. Thanks, everyone.

Another nice white-tail. I like the nice lighting that accentuates the antlers but I prefer the vertical crop but with a little more room at the sides and bottom like Gary said.

Nice looking buck Jack. I like the golden yellow BG and the light on the antlers. Would have liked to see a bit more of the neck on the original post. The repost would make a nice screensaver.

HI Jack,

Technically this appears to be quite a solid shot, and it looks to me that the buck is considerably sharper on the re-post (the screensaver version). I can see why you used the horizontal as a screen-saver, but purely in compositional terms I think the image does lend itself to a vertical crop. And...I have to agree with the others re: wishing there was more room on the bottom - as it was presented initially the buck did seem a little low in the frame.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this one...
